The Astro Nova

Terms of Use

Last updated: 7 October 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and THE ASTRO NOVA PRIVATE LIMITED (“we”, “us”) for The Astro Nova, our mobile app (“the app”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Who can use the app

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. The app is not for children.

2. What the app is

The app offers Vedic astrology: birth charts, panchang, daily readings, an AI astrologer you can write to, tarot readings and compatibility reports. It is meant for self-reflection and cultural interest.

3. Guidance, not professional advice

Readings are guidance for reflection. They are not medical, mental-health, financial, legal or any other professional advice, and they are not predictions you should rely on. Do not delay or replace professional help because of anything the app says. What happens in your life depends on your own choices and circumstances.

4. AI-generated answers

Many answers are written by an AI model (Anthropic’s Claude) following our instructions, not by a human astrologer. AI answers may be wrong, incomplete or inconsistent, and the astrologer personas in the app are AI characters, not real people. Check anything important with a qualified professional. If an answer seems harmful, offensive or wrong, report it in the app: tap ⋯ under the reply and then “Report this reply” (under an AI reading, “Report this reading”). You can also email us at info@theastronova.com. We handle reports as our Privacy Policy describes.

5. If you are in crisis

The app is not an emergency or counselling service. If you are thinking about harming yourself, or you or someone else is in danger, call Tele-MANAS on 14416 (free, 24 hours) or the emergency number 112.

6. Price

This version of the app is free and has no purchases. Some features may have usage limits, which the app shows. If we introduce paid features later, they will be sold only through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the price will be shown before you pay, and we will update these Terms first. See Refunds.

7. Your account

Give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time: see Delete your account.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law; to harass, threaten or impersonate anyone; to enter another person’s details without their permission; to try to get the AI to produce harmful or illegal content; to copy, scrape or resell the app’s content; to get around usage limits or security; or to interfere with the app or its servers.

9. Your content

You keep the rights in what you write or say in the app. You allow us to process it only to provide the app to you, as our Privacy Policy describes.

10. Our content

The app, including its software, design, text, interpretations and the name and logo “The Astro Nova”, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use; you may not copy, modify or distribute it without our written permission.

11. Other services

The app relies on services from others, such as Apple, Google and our sign-in provider. Their own terms apply to your use of them.

12. Changes to the app

We may change, suspend or stop features. We try to keep the app available but cannot promise it will always work without interruption or errors.

13. Our responsibility to you

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on readings or AI answers, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

14. Suspension and ending

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the law, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at New Delhi, Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about the app or these Terms. This does not take away your right to approach a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Please write to our Grievance Officer first; we will try to resolve the matter.

16. If you downloaded the app from Apple’s App Store

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund any purchase price you paid for the app (the app is free, so there is none); to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for handling any claim by you or anyone else relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it does not meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection or privacy claims, nor for investigating, defending or settling any claim that the app infringes someone’s intellectual property. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and are not on a United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

17. Changes to these Terms

We will update these Terms when the app or the law changes, and change the “Last updated” date. For significant changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new Terms apply.

18. Contact and grievances

Email info@theastronova.com. Grievances go to our Grievance Officer (below); we acknowledge them within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
